WidgetRole

Enum WidgetRole

Source
pub enum WidgetRole {
    Tabs,
    Dropdown,
    Menu,
    DatePicker,
    TimePicker,
    Tooltip,
}
Expand description

A widget tag that the parser replaces with plain boxes - see Attributes::widget.

These seven tags never reach the IR under their own name: the parser expands each into the rows, buttons and gates that draw it, because the runtime has no widget layer below the box layer. The expansion is lossy in one direction only, and this is what records the loss, so a surface with a widget of its own to offer can rebuild the authored one instead of drawing the boxes.

Variants§

§

Tabs

<tabs> - a strip of buttons over one panel per tab.

§

Dropdown

<dropdown> - a header button over a panel of options.

§

Menu

<menu> - a panel of items shown while its signal is set.

§

DatePicker

<date-picker> - a text entry holding a date.

§

TimePicker

<time-picker> - a text entry holding a time of day.

§

Tooltip

<tooltip> - text shown beside whatever it wraps. The marker lands on the wrapped element, which is what survives the expansion.
