pub enum WebRender {
Static,
Csr,
Ssr,
}Expand description
[web] render - where a page’s document comes from.
Every mode writes the whole markup tree, so a reader and a crawler get the
same document whichever one is set. What changes is where that document is
produced and what runs once it is open. WebPrerender is the other
half, and says which state the markup is written with.
static and csr differ only in whether the document carries the runtime,
which is why WebCfg::runtime is refused alongside either of them when
it says the opposite. ssr leaves that question open, so it is the one
that key answers.
Variants§
Static
Files and nothing else: no runtime, no scripts, links followed as the browser follows any link. A directory to upload and leave alone.
Csr
The pages load the runtime, which adopts the markup they arrived with and runs the app from there.
Ssr
Each document is produced for the request that asks for it, by running the app for that request. The build writes what a server needs instead of the pages: the compiled app, the stylesheet, the assets, and the runtime when the pages carry one.
