PendingFill

Struct PendingFill

Source
pub struct PendingFill {
    pub function: String,
    pub args: Vec<String>,
}
Expand description

A use site the build could not finish, waiting for the script to fill it.

A component element names a script function. When instantiating the block that function returns is the same as calling it, the build puts the block in the tree and nothing is left to do. When the function has to run, because it works a value out or picks between blocks, what the build leaves is one element carrying this: the function’s name and the arguments the use site bound, in the order the call passes them.

The script runtime calls the function, replaces this element with the node it returns, and drops the marker. That runs on the tick the element was mounted, ahead of the command applier, so the tree is whole before it is drawn.

Fields§

§function: String

Script function to call.

§args: Vec<String>

Argument values, in the function’s parameter order.

const STORAGE_TYPE: StorageType = bevy_ecs::component::StorageType::Table

A constant indicating the storage type used for this component.
Source§

type Mutability = Mutable

A marker type to assist Bevy with determining if this component is mutable, or immutable. Mutable components will have Component<Mutability = Mutable>, while immutable components will instead have Component<Mutability = Immutable>. Read more

§

fn map_entities<E>(_this: &mut Self, _mapper: &mut E)
where E: EntityMapper,

Maps the entities on this component using the given EntityMapper. This is used to remap entities in contexts like scenes and entity cloning. When deriving Component, this is populated by annotating fields containing entities with #[entities] Read more
