The script surface a plugin describes its functions in and answers calls with. Data types, from the engine’s own crate, so a value a plugin builds decodes into the one the script layer routes. Where a function lives in the script’s name space.

Variants

Builtin

The runtime’s own surface. Global on Rhai and Lua; the lumen host namespace on candela.

Extension

An embedder’s surface (the C ABI’s lumen_app_expose, the Rust SDK, a plugin). Global on Rhai and Lua; the native host namespace on candela.

Named(String)

A namespace of the embedder’s choosing: a static module on Rhai, a global table on Lua, a host namespace on candela.
