Struct ShapedText

Source
pub struct ShapedText {
    pub run: ShapedRun,
    pub geometry: TextGeometry,
    pub shape_version: u64,
}
Expand description

One shaped-once result for an entity’s text, produced in the main world.

Consumed by both the edit systems (via Self::geometry) and, once D4-R lands, the extract (via Self::run). Invalidated by the producer when Self::shape_version changes.

Fields§

§run: ShapedRun

Glyphs + fonts, for the render draw path (D4-R consumer).

§geometry: TextGeometry

Byte<->pixel map, for the edit + IME consumers (D4a-e).

§shape_version: u64

Version tag the shape was built from: [crate::TextBuffer]-style content version folded with size / width / wrap / family / weight. Lets the producer skip unchanged entities and lets a future ExtractedText damage diff compare a scalar rather than the glyph vec.

const STORAGE_TYPE: StorageType = bevy_ecs::component::StorageType::Table

A constant indicating the storage type used for this component.
Source§

type Mutability = Mutable

A marker type to assist Bevy with determining if this component is mutable, or immutable. Mutable components will have [Component<Mutability = Mutable>], while immutable components will instead have [Component<Mutability = Immutable>]. Read more

fn on_insert() -> Option<for<'w> fn(DeferredWorld<'w>, HookContext)>

Gets the on_insert [ComponentHook] for this [Component] if one is defined.
§

fn on_discard() -> Option<for<'w> fn(DeferredWorld<'w>, HookContext)>

Gets the on_discard [ComponentHook] for this [Component] if one is defined.

fn on_despawn() -> Option<for<'w> fn(DeferredWorld<'w>, HookContext)>

Gets the on_despawn [ComponentHook] for this [Component] if one is defined.
§

fn map_entities<E>(_this: &mut Self, _mapper: &mut E)
where E: EntityMapper,

Maps the entities on this component using the given [EntityMapper]. This is used to remap entities in contexts like scenes and entity cloning. When deriving [Component], this is populated by annotating fields containing entities with #[entities] Read more
